- Delegate to trusted moderators.
- Support helpful Discourse features.
- Ensure that notifications are neither too minimal nor abusive.
- Use and encourage tags to reduce categories but allow for organization.
- Encourage linking to related Q&A, feature requests, and problem reports.
The more useful, professional, and welcoming this is, the more people will use it - and that reflects well on the platform, marketing positioning, and revenue. It’s all related.
