I am planning to prepare for the Anthropic Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCAR-F) exam and wanted to hear from anyone who has already taken it or is currently studying for it.
I am particularly interested in understanding:
Which exam domains require the most preparation?
Are the questions more scenario-based or concept-based?
How much hands-on experience with Claude, MCP, and AI agent architecture is actually expected?
Were there any topics that were more challenging than you expected?
I would really appreciate hearing about your experience and any general advice that helped you prepare.
I can share what I’ve collected. TBH I’ve only sat the Claude Certified Architect - Professional (CCAR-P) so far (scored 965 using my own prep material), but I’ve been pulling any details I can find for the other 4 into this site. I recommend just taking a practice test (I have some free ones) or you can find some on Udemy. I also have a quick quiz site for all the certs that you can use to gauge.
I passed the CCAR-F after focusing on the core Claude concepts, MCP, and agent architecture rather than trying to memorize everything. CertifyCerts was one of the resources I used for practice, and the scenario-based questions helped me identify gaps before the exam. Hands-on practice with Claude was also really useful for connecting the concepts to real situations.
That’s great. I’ve that domain come up so it is good to hear that the content is good. When I was studying for the CCAR-P I couldn’t find anything good (everything was too easy or to repetitious), so I made my own and then decided to share them.
